Terms & Conditions

  1. Contract

 

  1.  LCS will only carry out servicing and repairs as agreed with the customer.   Any additional work or repairs that are required will only be completed when agreed with the customer either verbally or in writing. 

  2. The toilet cassette MUST be EMPTY and CLEAN or the toilet will NOT be Serviced/Repaired

  3.   If during servicing or remedial work a serious safety issue is discovered (i.e.. gas or electrical problems, handbrake not holding, tyres not roadworthy etc), LCS will endeavour to contact the Customer. However, if the Customer cannot be contacted LCS reserve the right to proceed with any necessary repairs in order to make the Caravan/ Motorhome safe. All costs incurred will be the responsibility of the Customer.

  4.  Any retro fitted additional items or items that are not fitted as standard, (I.e., Motor movers, Satellite Systems) are not included as part of a service.

  5. Payment Terms & Rates

  6. Pricing initial call out including first 30 minutes of labour from Current Rates.  & Current Rate per hour there after.

  7. Hourly labour rate Subject To change

  8.  Customers will Be Charged A Minimum Rate of 1 hour Labour on All Work Or Diagnostics Carried Out

  9. Payment to be made by Cash,  Bank Transfer, Debit Card or Credit Card with  2/% Handling Fee

Access  

 

  1. To carry out servicing at your home, storage site or pitch, LCS requires that the caravan be accessible all the way around, with at least 1metre & of clearance, all anti-theft devices (i.e., wheel clamps) are removed and that the inside of the caravan is completely empty, as all areas including cupboards (top and bottom). The Customer must ensure that the caravan is reasonably free from personal belongings so as not to hinder the technician or prevent access to appliances etc. also must be accessible for inspection and damp testing Failure to do so may result in LCS refusing to carry out the work agreed. If LCS must remove belongings to gain access, Customer acknowledges that they will be charged for any additional time spent doing so. LCS will not be held liable for any loss and/or damage resulting from such circumstances.

  2. Work Completion

  • All wheels will be torqued to the correct setting and customer ( If   present ) will be asked to sign that this was done before engineer leaves

  • On completion of works all appliances will be turned off from source

  • Customer will be asked to the sign paperwork after completion and in doing so you have fully checked all items in caravan/motorhome are fully Switched off - Engineer will have no liability after that point

  1. ​Warranty 

 

  1. LCS offers its own 6 (SIX) Month warranty on all work carried out with the exclusion of parts.

  2. All parts used are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty. The manufacturer must approve any warranty claims that require replacement parts before any repairs can be completed.

  3. The service report acts only as a report at the time of the service and only on the condition of the vehicle, the report does not act as a guarantee, nor does it offer as guarantee or warranty the condition of the vehicle for any period of time thereafter.

   6 Liability

  1. LCS will not be responsible for any items of value or personal possessions left in vehicles during service or repair; we politely request that customers remove all such items prior to the service or repair.

  2. Caravan Motorhomes After Completion

  3.  LCS will not be responsible for any unforeseeable losses; losses that were not caused by LCS or its employees’ negligence. Caravans & motorhome Left on our premise Are not LCS responsibility Any Damage or Loss  occurred  After Service/Repairs are Completed Customer Must rely on their own insurance in such events.

 . .Payment for goods and/or work done is due on presentation of the invoice unless Agreed Beforehand. Ownership of goods does not pass to the Customer until LCS has received cleared funds in full.

After Care

  1.  It is the responsibility of the person using the vehicle to check the following prior to every journey;

  1. Wheel nuts/bolts are tightened to the correct torque prior to every journey and within 20 miles after a wheel has been removed for any reason.

Tyre condition, tread depth and the correct inflation pressure prior to every journey.



9.  Nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to affect your statutory rights and any arbitration will  be under Scottish law :LCS Lomondside Caravan Services
